Ali is an athlete who has played Rugby for almost 2 decades; he has run many marathons all over the world, cycles and even does traithalons for fun! Ali has climbed in the Alps and has been to Nepal 5 times and done a couple of small trekking peaks in the region.
Although Ali is not an professional mountaineer, he will be spending the many months before the climb to extensively practice and hone his climbing skills. He will also be coming to the United States in the fall and will be training with The Everest Peace Project leaders on some training climbs.

Ali firmly believes that by bringing people from different faiths together - especially by bringing together Israeli's and Palestinians that we will be spreading a much needed message of peace throughout the world.
