Ben the juggling Rabbi - a world record?!

Ben the juggling Rabbi

The Everest Peace Project's Kilimanjaro Climb for Peace consisted of 9 people from 5 different continents. Included in this diverse group was Ali Bushnaq, a Palestinian man - and Benjamin Tanny, a Jewish Rabbi. It made for some interesting discussions along with some cultural learning for everyone. Not only did Benjamin eat kosher throughout the whole trip, he also observed the Sabbath - which at times, made things interesting. One of Ben's nicknames on the trip was "fruit man" since that is was he mostly ate. The other nickname we gave him was "Ben the juggling Rabbi" - after seeing the picture above, you will of course understand why. We are not sure if Ben set a new world's record for high altitude juggling, but certainly no other Rabbi has juggled on the summit of Kilimanjaro before!
